Workshop 2

Reviewing our vision - 

Using the PLS survey tool around our vision first and getting our staff to reflect to so that they can honestly provide a collective view of the school's vision and what is working and what may not be understood. It can be done individually and as a team and be very helpful to for individual reflection.

Part B - What is your next practice?


Workshop 4 - use the learning behaviors into design principles

Part A - What does it look like? or what should it look like in practice

Part B - Pictures of these examples attached to the hex and gives the team the chance to define what they mean in their future planning regarding that particular learning theme e.g a shared common language. 




Our leadership team feedback that this approach has come at the right time and also would help us reflect on whether something is working or whether what we think is in practice is actually happening. 

We are trying to get to a language of learning and being able to set up our new ILE - we want to be able to give students agency and where our whanau and students need to have in their learner profile. 

We could also attest to the PLS framework once we are in the hubs and have tested our Next Practice concepts for 6 months. 

Our next steps:

As a leadership team, we are working on we might introduce this to the staff at the next teacher-only day. 

We need to get to the point of what is working well, what is our challenges and what is our next practice is then we would be introducing it to students and the whanau/community. Also until we have got to workshop 4 - to capture what teachers are leading the learning and change to their ILE space, therefore enabling form following function.
